@gymnasticsloverxoxo It *was* part of the routine; the commentators (both American and British) mentioned that Kerri Strug particularly missed it. You can also see Shannon Miller miss it, and try to cover. The Canadians also struggled with the element, but it was required.

Bogi has always been a bit disappointing to me on compulsory floor for some reason - even her '88 compulsory FX wasn't as inspired or as precisely-performed as that of, say, Silivas - or even some of her teammates'.
Hard to believe she is only 5'2 or 5'3" - she always seemed a good 3 or 4 inches taller. I guess it's those great lines.
-
How come all the other teams perfomed the split at the end of the first tumbling pass and not the Americans?
-
@bbhouk1 That was not part of the routine, it was an ornament added to it by certain countries and Bogi missed a few elements so I'd say Lilia was a bit better.
-
Bogi had the best set but Lilia was close behind her.
roza galieva was good as well.
nearly all the americans forgot the split jump rebound after the first pass, and that really annoyed me.

@capsule1988 no she didn't!!!
she was on the Soviet Union team in 88 which also won the team comp that year.
in 92 she was on the UNIFIED TEAM which also won the team comp
the soviet union was dissolved by 92, and the fact that 2 people thumbed up your comment makes me kinda wonder what they teach in schools now.........

Poor Bogi forgot a couple of elements in this routine. Too bad because who doesn't love some Bogi?
