There are better ways to harness energy through biofuels like energy from- sewage/sludge/vegetable and food crops chaff etc. For this , we do NOT need to harm the existing environment and at the same time produce & generate clean and efficient energy. technologies are available to produce such energy from waste.
Cutting down forests is definately NOT the way to go about it.

Oil to transport farm equipment to plant crops for bio fuel
Oil to cultivate land
Oil for farm vehicles,
Oil needed to make chemical pesticides and fertilizers for bio fuel crops
Oil to process crops into bio fuel
Oil to transport bio fuel to market,
Biofuels are a very green and renewable form of energy. (Cough)

The hippies and their kids set laws in motion that are contributing deforestation, but now it's not the green's fault evil business' & politicians' fault. They're in it for money & power. Look at the worshippers' Al Gore Jr., ex-tobacco farmer, father in Coal giant Occidental Petroleum's employ and Jr. a major shareholder who sold America's Elk Hills Naval Oil reserve to Occidental for less than market value! But the rad libs love him since he went green while HATING "Big Oil" Bush family. Nice!

Oh yeah, it's the stupid white folks that are doing it Ha. And what about the millions that are against it? They don't play into your stupid White boy scenario? There is a way to do this without destroying everything ya know. It's not our fault your Government wants to make a killing destroying the Rain-Forest. My Government does the same thing in the U.S. for coal. This is the work of a handful of greedy politicians.
