What Has Happened?

In the second video in this series evaluating the education system in America, we look at how it started. Education in the United States was initially largely private. What happened to bring about public education?

Every child deserves a good education, so did our country just have the foresight and benevolence to develop public education? What were the goals of public education originally and how do we measure in meeting these goals?

Again, what is the purpose of education and how is the United States faring when it comes to the education of its children? What do the current trends tell us about where we are headed?

At a micro level, things may seem to be disjointed and helter skelter, but from a global view, you can see that America is right on track towards implementation of radical global education reforms.

We need to understand where we are and where education is headed. Over the next few years, the United States will see dramatic changes in the structure of our government, our businesses, and our education systems. The intent of this video series is to help people not be caught unawares.

What's "religion"? Perhaps you mean God...which is not the same as religion at all.

God does not want people doing the same thing. He has created each person uniquely and molded them personally. What He desires is for mankind to know Him and experience His love through reconciliation to Him. This is possible through faith in Jesus Christ, who has paid the debt for our sin.

Even then, we will not all be or do the same, but will individually reflect the glory of God.

I would have to say that you have an excellent series of videos. I've always believed that God's people (Christians) should be the wisest people on the planet, due to the Holy Spirit residing in us. This is a great example of practicing true Spiritual wisdom vs. the wisdom of this world. I think i'm going to subscribe today.

The problem is that so many kids are in public school because their parents are poor. which is because they are uneducated. So, the parents have poor communication skills. You have these kids born to parents that mumble or talk funny, and they probably yell at each other all the time, so the kids grow up in a home where the parents yell and blast the TV all the time. The kids tune out all the chaos, and this tuning out leads to ADD. The parents can't talk, so the kids can't talk or listen.
