I'd hate to be anyone else from another country rowing the single at the olympics because you'll be racing for silver haha

great battle..well as someone said the double scull is a different ball game. i think for NZ it would obviously be better if rob rows in a double.

There technique is so different - the double sculls won't work for them. The double scull is the most difficult boat ! Anyone can row in it - but to let it flow and go quick everything has to be perfect. It is so easy to row your own thing in 2X - and destroy your teammates work. It is also the boat in which the world best times don't get beaten very often ; in 1979 they already rowed 6.10 with wooden sculls !

well that holds for rowing in general, not only the double sculls.
you cant really say what boat class is the most difficult, but to my mind, getting a fast coxless pair together is probably one of the most difficult tasks...

I agree with Spiller. The pair is technically the most difficult boat to row. And, once it runs well, is probably the nicest boat to row, too.
