Video of the first "VIP" trip on the newly reopened Greenbush Line of the MBTA's Commuter Rail on Boston's south shore. Video is of the train entering Weymouth Landing/East Braintree station on its way outbound to Greenbush, one day prior to regular service. A second train followed which was open free to the general public.

  • my family and I rode on the train today from Beverly to Newburyport with loco 1052. It as weird seeing that loco on the northern line.

  • I was so happy when this line opened!! No thanks to those ***holes who live in Hingham who fought tooth and nail to prevent it from happening.

  • Maybe one of them broke down or something so one provides the power while one provides the HVAC, etc.

  • Sometimes they run doubleheaders.

  • they aren't new. They are F40s that are 20 years old. They just repainted them for the occasion because it's not every day that a new line opens.
