vega is the lowest in sf4 tier for a reason. all he really has is a bit of speed, claw range, and some decent kicks like slide and standing roundhouse. he eats damage like akuma and his ex moves do crap damage compared to other characters.

It is so hard to play against a decent Vega.

"Vega's lower than Chun in the tier rankings but he seriously has the advantage against her with his aerial attacks. "
Bro... it's time to stop posting.

Chun's Ex-SBK is only deadly if it connects but it can always be stuffed by deep jump-ins and all dive attacks (Cammy, Akuma, Rufus, Blanka, Chun Li, M. Bison, etc.) The move also only does like 5-10% damage against Sagat or Zangief.

Huh? What are you talking about dude? Did you see how much the aerial assaults were used against Chun Li? He could have done that all day long and all Chun can do is either block and get Izuna Dropped or jump backwards hoping her atatcks will connect but with Vega's range plus those claws, she's never gonna hit him that way unless she gets her Tenshoukyaku anti-air special back. Vega's lower than Chun in the tier rankings but he seriously has the advantage against her with his aerial attacks.

Vega really is so bad in SF4. At least Chun still has a lot of great pokes, a usable ultra, and EX spinning bird is pretty deadly.
Vega has pretty much no good tools to speak of.

Vega's only been nerfed in the stamina department. Chun Li's been nerfed in the everything department. Name it and she has it. Miniscule special and ultra damage; stamina that's even lower than that of Sakura's; No anti-ar special move; an ultra that can only be linked from a combo when the opponent is in the corner and will waste hits if the opponent is hit in mid air; slower ground movement and shorter wall bounce distance compared to previous SF games; disspitating fireballs, etc. etc...
-
Vega looks good against Chun because Chun Li doesn't have a solid anti-air move in this game. He can do those sky dives all the time and all Chun can do is wait until she gets wasted by either a claw attack or an air throw. Vega won't be able to do stunts like that to everyone else who has anti-air specials so there really is no such thing as a good Vega player. He was just advantaged in this fight.

If I was half as good at pulling off the Izuna Drop as this guy, my game would be dominant. Kudos to this guy for understanding that strict timing.
The problem is, even when you clearly out-play someone with him, one scaled Ultra evens it out.
Just can't get my head around what compelled them to nerf him so... : /
(Maybe his SFIV programmer was ugly, took umbrage and this is his revenge!)
