English Electric locomotive 1620 fresh out of restoration tows SX set number 45 on a shuttle to Spring Bluff and return during the 2008 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

Also seen is the 2000 class Railmotor known as "The Silver Bullet" arriving into the dock platform at Toowoomba station with an Australian Railway Historical Society excursion.

  • I hate the Tacky Trains of the day... The sad thing is the silver carriages are better condition than the modern day electrics. Theses day FLU is spread on Trains... These old trains have a thing called open windows... Not closed in...

  • I will now answer my own question as I have obtained the answer. The QR livery that the loco displays is an earlier version in keeping with the version applied to the loco when it was built. This version did not contain the QR symbol.

  • The loco looks really great in the former QR blue livery. Why though does the loco not carry the large red QR symbols as it would once have?
