Evolution is an Illusion. How about individual Expression? There is no Separation between consciousness and matter. There is only Consciousness or call it "Mind" or "God", it is one "substance". Solidity is a false Perception.

I believe this is a key principle when trying to "sort out" some overwhelming aspects of certain psychedelic experiences. I realize it's technical jargon, but it's the answer I'd offer you.

I think consiousness exists at two levels the physical and the mental. And the one Sri Aurobindo meant was obviously for the mankind and their mental evolution. A higher state of mental consiousness.
