  • would Morgan Freeman be a good narrator for this?

  • @minipulate400016 Nope, I'm completely bored and utterly tired of hearing his voice on Docco narrations.

  • I just got back from seeing Hubble 3D for the 3rd time. My mind has been blown 3 times.

Our IMAX's screen here in the Quad Cities is 6 stories high compared to Sydney's 8 story tall screen so I can only imagine how much more immersive Sydney's is...

  • @Paolomondo Two stories more immersive I'd guess. heh.

  • Hi,

So I'm not allowed to plug in my console aw aw

    C ya

  • @ghostie45 Yeah, sad to say I couldn't find a single HDMI port on the whole damn monstrosity to plug my Xbox into. *sigh*

  • MY DREAM WORKPLACE <3 WOOOOW

  • @remnantpictures So IMAX Resolution is 16k

  • DiCaprio isn't that bad. He did an amazing job in Gangs of New York and Shutter Island. Wasn't that Impressed with Inception though.

  • @Blunty3000 Only thing that stopped me from seeing this is that there are NO IMAX THEATERS ANYWHERE NEAR WHERE I LIVE! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE! JUST BUILD ONE ALREADY! Sorry, but I'm pretty pissed about this. Nice vid though.

  • @MasterGravitron All large format IMAX theatres still use film. Digital cant' yet even come close to IMAX film quality. You would need at least a 16k digital projector to replicate the quality of 15/70 IMAX film, which doesn't exist. The digital IMAX theatres, while better than a standard digital theatre because of the dual projectors, is a joke compared to the 6+ story IMAX film based theatres. And ALL theatres whether digital or film still run all their content at 24fps. And 80% still use film

  • I remember we used to go here for excursions for school, can't beat Sydneys screen :D

  • I thought Leonardo DiCaprio did a decent job, but you're right. They should have gotten someone with a deeper, "God-like" voice. But all in all, this film was amazing. You really get a sense of the vast immensity that is space, and it makes you feel so small and insignificant as compared to the size of our universe. I remember coming out of the theater as if I'd returned from somewhere alien and mysterious, coming back to the familiarity of Earth. The grass seemed a bit greener the way home.

  • wow thats awesome, how long is the screen in meters?

  • have celine dion for the narration

    ...wait what?

  • men i went to australia a few years ago and i didn´t go to the imax theather, men how stupid i was!!!
