the lpd8 is much better and solid....i use it with fl studio 10 and you can link pretty much everything to those 8 knobs and control it through the lpd. im pretty sure it works the same for every program. akai wins!

@meltdownband Did you have any problems with the korg nanopad? i hear the pads break even if your're not tapping hard
-
Hi, can you tell me what is the pad size in AKAI and Korg in centimeters? I mean a single pad. Thanks! Good review

Anyone can read the info on the box and read about the differences.
I was looking for a side by side comparison of how they function live in use. Like showing what one can do that the other can't, which feels better when working, etc.
NANOPAD BREAKS VERY EASILY, LPD8 DOESN'T. If you don't know which to buy, don't watch the video, watch this comment.

Can I use 2 LPD8's together for a total of 16 pads? Will my software(Fl Studio) be able to handle both of them at the same time? Thanks.

@ForestDweller80 I would think so, you may have to create two tracks with your drum samples in FL and assign each controller to each track
