This toy has been released three times in the US, first as a Godaikin by Bandai, then as Voltron by Matchbox, and reissued in the 90s by Trendmasters.

It's not as bad as Megazone 23 and Violence Jack OVAs, circa 1985. which were at an R rated level. On Japanese TV back in the day, nothing of that content was allowed.

LOL! HA HA HA Dude it's only "dangerous" if it's INGESTED. Just TOUCHING A robot with lead-content paint does absolutely nothing! To get lead poisoning from handling lead, you would have to handle 100% solid lead directly & often, for a long time, for even a tiny amount to get into your bloodstream through skin contact. Lead paint on toys is only "dangerous" because of a few retarded kids who EAT THE PAINT CHIPS. Adults owning and collecting the toys, there is NO DANGER WHATSOEVER. ROFL!!!
