  • how do you know how many flops are occurring during regular web browsing... do flops have any relation to context switches?

  • 1,000,000,000,000= Teraflop

    1,000,000,000,000,000 = Pentaflop

    1,000,000,000,000,000,000,= Sextflop

    ...

still wont run Cyrsis on full >_<

  • I'm sure that before I die (i'm a minor), we'll have petaflop handheld devices (currently only in the realm of supercomputers)

  • they just break the teraflop it will take provably 20 years from 15 years from now

  • try googelplex for zeroes

  • "I predict an Nvidia gaming card could do 1 petflops in around 5 to 6 years from now."

No; silicon technology doesn't have the legs to do that and it will take more than 5 to 6 years to commercialize graphene or optical computing or whatever will replace it.

  • I think this has already happened, is happening & has been being performed with a FAR superior computing system.

I don't care though. Fear is for mortals :)

  • I think there using it to create a profile on everybody through electronic communications.

  • ridiculous yet true...

  • I predict an Nvidia gaming card could do 1 petflops in around 5 to 6 years from now.
