@anticarrrot - Don't forget: we're all still white.

Male Models In Spaaaaacccee... space... space....

Alot of the scenes in the desert mimic stuff that was shot for the original "Planet of the Apes" in 1968.

Why is it, on TV and films the sound sometimes overrides what is being said? At the beginning of this the narrator while talking the music increases in volume to where it actually overrides what the narrator is saying?
-
Looks pretty high quality. One question, all the guys in white shirts and dark pants wearing backpacks--aren't they supposed to be riding bicycles?
-
200 years in the future, and best survival technology they take along is a plastic water bottle and some shiny suits? There's a difference between surviving accidents and deliberately shooting yourself in the foot.

Looks great! More info is on imdb (1998 release). I ignore the reviews. The rental crowd always trashes Indie sci-fi, but I love 'em. Watched too many in the 80s I guess ~grin~. TY for the clip CK.

Yes, several scenes were in fact shot at the exact locations used in the 1968 Planet of the Apes.

love the running scene from 1:33, how did you steady that shot?

Shot from an open door to a van driving in reverse with slightly flattened tires (helps to keep the image looking smooth).

That music's familiar...
It's right on the tip of my ear...
Is it...BRAINSTORM...?
By James Horner?

Yes, for this home grown trailer (not used commercially), the music is from James Horner's Brainstorm.
