Look, pouring your own crete is not that hard, really. Try pouring your own rather than waiting for someone to build it then barge it.
Better yet, get a bunch of heads together and pool your resources to build and maintain a sick DIY that the community has a stake in. With the economy tanked and a bunch of companies being move off-shore, there's no shortage of empty lots to build on. This is the best time to DIY.
