The American Empire is infinite, we rule through money not through divine right. The Empire is all, and is absolute. We may know how the Empire operates, but we are not above it. Only if we are born into the upper caste, may we affect decisions on the lands we control. It's not fair, no...it never was. I'm glad RussiaToday talks about this, because no one else will.

Well, the middle class didn't exist to such an extend back then, but it is indeed being crushed.
Here's a quote I read that sums it up (I don't know who said it though): "The middle class is a luxury capitalism can no longer afford."

@matrixofexistenc Ha Ha...You think????

I've always thought we were an empire. Being the world's policeman or evangelical democratists won't work for us any more than it worked for the British Empire carrying the white man's burden or the former Soviet Union protecting itself by taking over it's neighbors.

@adamwt1978692 Well its inescapeable. Whatever is created will still be called a government. Though I guess Anarchy is as much as a form of government as Atheism is a religion.

@krisstopher07 One world, yes, but why do we need a government?

@matrixofexistenc The best propaganda is when it's true.

I think the analogy is spot on unfortunately for the US. Everyone thought Obama would be the change we were looking for, but, we're quite sure he's not the change we want. We need to return to our founding principles. That's what will happen as we vote out all incumbents and vote in independent unaffiliated political candidates that will stand on principle, not with corporate special interests.
