This video came about from a competition held over at DigitalPress on May, 2006 - I recorded a MAME playback of my playthrough and uploaded it to a few places, but I never really put it up on Youtube until now. The rules were simple: a maximum of five credits, and the game had to be played on default settings.

This is the game intro and Level 1 of the game, as played by me back then. There's eight videos in total.

This video was captured using FoxMagic capturing software while the replay was played on MAME 0.101. I made this video, so PLEASE don't steal it!

  • I remember seeing kids playing this at my local arcade like 15 years ago... Man I do miss those good old days.

  • @PsychoTomHoang I got it free thanks to something called MAME

  • @WildBuster *Continued* Not that there's anything wrong with those console ports gameplay-wise but just saying four is a whole lot more than the two people only console versions of say the TMNT arcade ports.

  • @WildBuster Nah the game's best left unchanged unless you're going to do something similar that the SNES version for Turtles in Time did then I'd say no, because when they tampered with the port of Turtles in Time most people hated the change, because it wasn't good change like the one on the SNES was. But hey as good as it would be to have six players, its still a whole lot more than the console ports of Konami's classic beat em' ups that only allowed only two people to play *2bcont.*

  • @Thenumber1yoshi eeyup.

  • @damprumpan *Continued and read previous three comments and sorry it was so long* but then again what did Fox care so long as they could get more money and just ditched Konami because they lacked the amount of money that Acclaim had to pay for the rights to make Simpsons video games.

  • @damprumpan But since the Arcade game is now on XBLA and PSN they've kind of been forgiven (the only reason I haven't totally forgiven them is because Nintendo fans who played it way back and want it have been screwed over once again on their own download service) but it still didn't excuse dropping Konami who was clearly a better game developer in favor of Acclaim who clearly wasn't but then again what did Fox care so long as they could get more money and just ditched *2bcont.*

  • @damprumpan *continued* If Fox had honestly cared about the quality of Simpsons games do you honestly think we would have had as many crappy Simpsons video games for over a decade with the sole exception being the Arcade game by Konami for years at least until Hit & Run and maybe arguably Road Rage? You can pretty much see all Fox and the rest of the people who who gave out the rights to the gaming license cared about was the cash. But since the Arcade game is now on XBLA *2bcont.*

  • @damprumpan Fox didn't care (Well back then at least) the only thing that mattered to them was Acclaim had more money than Konami to pay for the license to make Simpsons games for as many years as they did, Fox didn't care about their quality, to Fox a Simpsons video game is no different than a Simpsons Bart plush doll, how are they similar other than being both Simpsons products? Because both of them allowed Fox to make a quick buck. If Fox honestly had cared *2bcont.*

  • sucks !
