  • Why are they playing on IU court in St. Louis?

  • The game was played at the Checkerdome, in St. Louis, which was a hockey arena. The floor was warped due to water damage, so IU loaned theirs. The floor is also typically given to the winner of the championship. This year was an exception. It went back to IU.

  • Feinstein's a hack of a writer. He should kill himself.

    Dook lost.

  • Those were my favorite Kentucky uniforms. Now everybody's uniforms look like pajamas, plus the blue has inexplicably gotten lighter in shade.

  • now that's how you carve up a zone. real ballers man up. damn a zone.

  • What a lineup KU had! Robey, Phillips, Givens, Macy, Shidler, and Claytor

  • I was there for that Final Four. Givens was amazing. St. Louis was a great place to party that weekend..what a time. Notre Dame , Arkansas played the consolation game that night. We spoke to Al Maguire during the public workouts...he was recovering from dental surgery and he felt lousy.

  • @sneak108 It took us 12 years after Pitino left to go to Boston before we got Coach Cal. Tubby wasn't a bad coach he did win us a title after all.

  • kentucky was expected to win it all that year.duke wasnt even expected to make it to the final four so good job by duke to make it that far with a team nobody thought would do anything.

  • @uofl2004 cats baby. we let u of l have pitino so we could slip cal in there. huge upgrade

  • @sneak108 No its St. Louis, the NCAA could instead of using Indiana's court they could have brought the floor from Rupp. Now that would be fitting.

  • Givens is killin mofo's!! wow ballin!

  • @uofl2004 This is in bloomington indiana. The goose baby! Go cats!

  • At 6-4, most NBA teams felt Givens was too short to play forward (his position in college) and not quick enough to play guard. But Goose played several years in the NBA mostly on his shooting ability and sheer desire. Today he is a businessman in Lexington and does color commentary on Kentucky and SEC telecasts.
