After a live recording session of the Carolina Chocolate Drops at Village Studios, Santa Monica, an impromptu jam with visiting "nouveau oldtime" guests. Blind Boy Paxton, Dom Flemons (of the Carolina Chocolate Drops), and Frank Fairfield.
A Boing Boing Video music snapshot, recorded on an iPhone 3GS because that's all we were carrying when the magic happened.

It's supposed to sound like this! It's traditional American music, not heavily produced, but music they way people play it and sing it. These musicians are preserving it for future generations. I'm so thankful to them; can't you hear Dom's passion in his singing...listen again.

All 3 are very fine musicians in their own right but singing is not Dom Flemings strong suit. This sounds pretty plain when you consider the high quality of some of their other material.
