In the last Gubernatorial debate, a family asked Mr. Branstad why he supports a constitutional amendment to overturn the freedom to marry and deny protections to families like theirs. His answer was disappointing in its lack of compassion and clarity.
Governor Chet Culver, on the other hand, provides a strong contrast.
How long are you Same Sex Marriage supporters going to throw out this tripe that anyone who does not approve of Gay Marriage hates gays?

in a republic, the people don't get to vote on other peoples rights. thats why the founding fathers didn't opt for a democracy.

This shows why Branstad must NOT be elected. He's a bigot and he can't see that all families matter. Gov. Culver, on the other hand, realizes that all families are important and therefore must be recognized. Go Culver!
