@xXrfCdaViDXx marseilles werent allowed to defend their european cup "WIN" the next season because of the bribery in the league game against valenciennes, not for anything to do with the european cup. dont do your team a bad service by alleging this as rangers had some legendary performances that year and should be games to remember, not stain. the better team won the tournament

@xXrfCdaViDXx what amases me is when rangers fans allege that marseilles "cheated" them. how did they cheat them exactly? truth is rangers fans read the bribery scandal that related to a league game and thought it a perfect excuse to latch onto, an alternative to explain why they never won the european cup, that allows them to believe that they actually would have won it. this all centres around the bribery scandal and for this to apply, rangers players would have to have took bribes

@xXrfCdaViDXx the mark hately allegation, that only surfaced this year? ask yourself this: did mark hately cheat and take the bribe he was supposedly offered by marseilles to miss the 2nd leg in marseilles? because he missed the 2nd leg after a red card against brugges. so who is the cheat here? this allegation cannot be proven unless you just take mark hatelys word for it.

yes it was group stages but it was the first Champions League and the winners of each group played in the final, so, theoretically it WAS the semi-final.
