"Rain Crow Bill Blues" is an old harmonica solo, originally recorded by Henry Whitter. Whitter recorded this tune at least twice. The first version was recorded in December, 1923, and the second version was recorded in August, 1927.

Whitter was born in 1892, in Fries, Virginia. He was the first person to record in the cross harp position and showed notable Afro-American influence on his harmonica style.

  • I didn't know there were two recordings of this song. I've learned one that he did on a higher harp than you have endeavored here. Good work.

  • Nice Playing! I like the clear response of the individual reeds!
