  • BS, once the money gets floated to wall street it's going overseas and will be out of circulation, Wall Street will cut and run no doubt...

  • I love how conservatives can never take the blame for anything. Just once I wish they could stand up and say, "We blew it. We took the whole thing too far, and it fell in our face." Just once be a man. But lying is how they get elected. First it was Lee Atwater. Then it was Karl Rove. Look how Reagan cut taxes, increased defense spending, ran up the deficit and called for a balanced budget. Look how Fox news calls itself fair and balanced. Give me a break.

  • There you go Wallstreet, you got your money. Oh look, it keeps slipping, looks like it worked well.

What the fuck do you think that they can do with this money? You know who should pay for it. Not one penny from American tax dollars, 100% funding from the Oil Companies. The amount of dedication that these buisness' had to oil is what led to this, not that alone, but a LARGE portion.

As Mahar said it, "can we legalize pot now?"

  • Poor and middle class people are there as a result of their own actions and way of thinking.

Giving the poor and middle class more handouts will temporarily raise the economy because theyll blow it on new toys or put it in the bank.

Giving the money to business will create neccessary capital to employ more people and expand their business.

That being said, government doesnt need to do anything but lower taxes and make it profitable to do business in America again. Just get out of the way!

  • oh please! how about checking your facts

  • X car salesaman. Yea sure. You Bullsh_ ter. Were not that dum we have heard these promises before.

  • I like that Idea. thats brilliant.

  • Ben Stein said it best today. "Why not build from the ground up? instead of the top down. Give the money to the people who need it, they will pay off the high ass mortgage, order restored"

  • To a point, until the institutions pay them back. Then its back to normal. Bank of Fees capitalizing on poor people

  • I am glad that a lot of dems did stand up against this.

  • I agree that this bailout is another step towards socialism but Democrats are the majority in Congress and theyre saying no as well. Granted, the Republicans are leading the way but Nancy Pelosi pissed off so many people that itll be awhile till anything gets accomplished.

  • Thanks I now know!
