Audi TT 1.8t,Forge DV.

This is my 2002 Audi TT 1.8t 180. Nothing special, just a Forge 007 Diverter Valve, and an AEM short ram intake. You can see the Diverter valve, shiney chrome thing behind the intake. Just putting it up for the ones curious on how this DV sounds on our cars.

Is this a open diverter valve? cuz i just installed a closed loop Forge 007 DV and it sounds nothing like this. I have a 2004 Jetta 1.8T

Yeah do you have an aftermarket intake? Also, I noticed the A4's with this same setup doesn't sound quite the same either. I don't know why, but the 1.8t in the TT's and GTI's are a little different. I think the 1.8t's in the TT's and GTI's have more PSI. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong?

whats the diffrence between a diverter valve and a blow off valve someone please respond thank you

Blow - Off Valve = blows air out to atmosphere

diverter valve = recirculates the air.

is there a big difference in sound between stock and the forge dv without the short ram?

you can't hear it very well w/o the intake... It still sounds pretty much stock if you just have the Forge DV + stock airbox.

i have a question for anyone that knows, they sell the 007p forge dv on ebay and then they have the 007 dv that have no brand name much cheaper are they bad does anyone know i bout a b5 audi and what a little louder whoosh

If you have a 1.8t... or a 2.0t, you're better off leaving a diverter valve on it, blow off valve makes it sound more like a tuner, but it won't recycle any of the excess boost, instead it will just blow it out...

In short, if anything, it will do more bad then good.
