OK, for the guy who posted this video i have a few things to point out. Every marching band program has to start somewhere. I have taught for numerous marching bands, both competition and half-time entertainment. There are some programs that are out there trying to begin with no support at all. I have instructed for a band this size for free, just to help them get started. Bands this size have no budget to buy anything they need. And having only 1 director doing the job, its very hard to do.

Have you ever wondered how their practices went? Bands tend to practice 3-4 hours after school, 3 days a week(With exceptions). The only way you can suck after all that time is bad practices. It defines how you do on the field. My band is this tiny, new, BROKE(another band gave us hand-me-down uniforms), and a new director with no experience. But we practice, don't goof off and do well. I can see them trying super hard, but unless they just learned the the show, this band can do so much better.

Wow my high school marching band is in its first year in 2011 and we made state and got 10th out of 12th This isnt all of our show. We have four songs and we open the mat up. youre a fucking asshole. you probably cant even do any of what they can do, so learn how to play an instrument, and youll know that early in the season the band is likely to not be great, or that when you are a tiny band like this one, there isnt much money and they might only have one band director. theyre called cheicos, not hats.

@limegut Congrats on making it into SCV!! I might try out for the 2013 Blue Knights. I play mellophone. I've been playing for less than a year though. I'm a freshman :). Also Baritones are so boss. @DisturbedNFire You are completly right, every band doesn's always start off with everthing they need. And also the new West End band director the former Oneonta band booster president has turned the entire program around. They had one of the best show this year.
