On the "Just for the record" compilation, Streisand chopped off the second half of the medley: The way we were section, and instead segued the album version of the The way we were. Perhaps when preparing for the compilation set, she was less than happy at how she improvised and deviated from the original melody on that occasion.

Ah yes, the salute to the Bergmans (Marilyn and Alan) back in the 80's. Shame it wasn't televised or recorded. Check out the super rare footage of The Way We Were at Sun Devil Stadium during the making of A Star is Born.
