A Japanese couple became the first to be married by a robot! Tomohiro Shibata and Satoko Inoue decided to let a robot oversee their wedding held in a rooftop restaurant in Tokyo. During the ceremony, everyone watched on expectantly as the 1.5m $70,000 I-Fairy instructed the groom to lift the bride's veil for the kiss. The couple, who are both connected to the robotics industry, felt it was fitting to have the automated robot with flashing eyes officiate at their wedding since robots had brought them together in the first place. Who needs wedding officiants when you have robots?
