Does the side saddle mount underneath the rail?

no, mounts by replacing a screw within the action behind the elevator. you may also ahve to remove the trigger assembly. but overall it's a relatively simple process and the saddle comes with instructions.

Have you ever tried painting it before? I sanded my whole 590 down and repainted it black, and the heatshield blue. It looks pretty sick but the paint is chipping off, and im mad now cause it looks like shit.

Anybody know what kind of paint to use so i won't chip off? Or am i doing something wrong?

Is the 20" barrel long enough to shoot clays with at a skeet club? Reason I ask is that I really want a tactical shotgun like this, but also would like to shoot clays.
