It will be released in IMAX and other theatres on Oct. 16th. I am a manger for a IMAX theatre and our release schedule for the remaining year: Harry Potter (July 29th), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D(Sept. 18th), Where the Wild Things Are (Oct. 16th), A Christmas Carol 3D(Nov. 6th) and Avatar 3D(Dec. 18th)

When they showed this preview in front of Harry Potter 6 at the IMAX, I was like, "This movie would look GREAT in IMAX!", although it didn't say it was coming out in IMAX.
Well, dreams come true. :P
