  • @chrisothoulos unfortunately |:

  • @str8ngthofh3rc blah blah

  • so this is the birth of Teargarden by Kaleidyscope

    Oh lord....

  • @ExclaimedMusic I kind of thought of it more of a Mellon Collie pt. 2. It's seems it is the direction Billy might have gone if Jimmy would have been there. I think Zeitgeist was OK and not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. The only complaint I have is that Billy is concentrating too much on being a song writer with a message when really he's a musician first. His songs always seemed to come from his music and not the other way around. I think some of his new songs suffer from that.

  • @fatcatbuzz Zeitgeist is, in many ways, Siamese Dream pt. 2.

  • @str8ngthofh3rc Zeitgeist was decent and it had some pretty good song on there. I personally think Swan was better. There were better records that came out that year, but most people I think are waiting for Billy to write Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie pt 2. Maybe he will make another great record again, but who knows.

  • @rum02 The only people that say billy is a dick are the people that have never met him personally. I saw him face to face and he was cool. I though Zeitgeist was a decent record. It wasn't up there with Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. His view of music is right on for the most part, though I still think he should concentrate on records or at least one more good one.

  • I agree. One thing makes me admire Corgan is his tightness and honesty writing songs or talking for medias. Zeigeist is a good example like once Rolling Stone Mag asked him for his favorite band actually and he didn´t name a band from his lable neither his country. He noticed the independent band SWAVE, giving very good comments about their song "In the future" and what is cool, the animated singer of this band has his same face! hahahahaha

  • billys so down to earth and cool. Just casually having a chat with fans, mad. He's definitely got a point about the current music scene, but at the same time, zeitgeist was a commercial flop, not that many people listened to it for that reason and that reason more than any other. I personally enjoyed the album though.
