Rasik Balma

Sarla sings Rasik Balma from the film Chori Chori. Originally sung by our adorable Lataji, for her best friend Nargis. This is one of the best songs for these two women in white.
M.D. is my favorite Shanker Jaikishen. The film stars the most handsome and popular pair of the Hindi film industry, Raj Kapoor and Nargis.
I met Nargis once when my driver picked me up from Sydenham College at Marine Drive. My two sisters were also with me in the car. We noticed Nargis sitting on the outside steps of the flat where her brother Anwar Hussein lived. We stopped the car and went to meet her. At that time Sunil Dutt was facing a bad financial time due to the failure of Rehsma Aur Shera, even then this graceful lady spoke to us very nicely. I got her autograph. I saw her many times at Premson's departments store, C.C.I. club and at Sanjay's school.
Nargis usually wore a white sari at movie premieres. For the Mother India premiere also she was going to wear the same but she learned that other ladies were going to wear a white sari so she decided to wear a black sari and gave a surprise to all.
Golden era stars were all beautiful but their beauty was enhanced with Lataji's voice in the songs.
As I am writing this I just got news from chamogaa/ Vipan ji as follows:

Lata Mangeshkar conferred highest French honour

New Delhi: Celebrated playback singer Lata Mangeshkar has been conferred Frances highest civilian award, the Insignia of Officier de la Legion dHonneur (Officer of the Legion of Honour).May God bless her.

So I am dedicating this song to LATAJI. I also dedicate the song to CHAMOGAA / VIPAN JI ardent fan of Lataji, DERUBALA, ZAHIRBHAI, YUANJI, BHARAT DESAI JI, JEMALJI,SHARMAJI,ISSACJI and last but not the least SUHANEEJI who are all my wonderful friends.
Today this award will be conferred on Lataji.
Last night I celebrated the news with ice cream. I ate remembering all my Youtube friends.
