How can you not understand why its more expensive to put that animal in a cargo bin?

If you carry Fido onboard, you do all the handling. If you check the animal, a hundred more hands have to handle the carrier and the pet has to be specially handled to insure its survivability in the death trap that is an airline cargo bin versus a comfy pressurized, air conditioned or heated passenger cabin.

Lastly, if all else fails, don't take Fido onboard. Ship the animal!

First off:

It's pretty sad that you're paying less than $125 pet fee one way. No wonder airlines are hurting. If cheap asses like yourself were willing to pay more, they wouldn't have to be so "ridiculous" with their pet fees.

Secondly, taking a pet on board is a premium benefit. And if you want to do it, you have to pay. I think $125 to make Fido go 500 mph is a steal.

Thirdly, the airlines can do math and their people in accounting know more about money than you ever will. cont....

ugh, I know how you feel. I work at a petstore, and I get questions all the time about sizing on pet carriers for airlines.. the pricing and the specifications of the carriers are ridiculous..

Its funny, airlines used to supply carriers for animals.. now you have to buy em yourself. :/
