I did this run in 7:58 minutes (starting from the first stage select scene and ending when touching the final treasure).
All stages went really well.
Some are even near perfect runs.
I did lose a lot of time near the ending. I kinda chickened out at the final boss, because I knew it would still be sub 8 minutes if I'd use the safer/slower way.
Also found a new way to do the Himalayas stage faster.
On the glitchless run I give some info per stage on what I did, I won't do that here.
I'll just talk about the glitch.
WARNING: useing the glitch wrong might (severely) damage the game/and or your system.
Ok, first off there are 3 things that could happen when your getting hit while waiting ducked at the door.
1) You'll get stuck in the wall and will be able to get to the other side of the room.
2) You'll be stuck on top of the ceiling and can't use pogo stick
3) You'll be stuck on top of the ceiling and can use the pogo stick a little bit (this one you need).
Now make sure you are useing the pogo and keep using it. (don't let go of that B button :))
Once you are using the pogostick, there are 3 ways (as far as I know) to get to the right.
1) rapidly tapping right on the d-pad.
2) slowly tapping right on the d-pad.
3) rapidly tapping left and right on the d-pad. (This one I used)
I think the 3rd way is the fastest. It is a bit hard to explain, you don't need to use left as much as right. So you don't have to use em equally. You just need to get a good feeling of how to use it and a bit of luck.
The 3rd method is the fastest I think.
Now there are 4 things (as far as I know) that can happen when you are going to the right.
1) The game crashes and makes a nasty sound (the reason I put the warning in the beginning)
2) You'll 'teleport' back to the spot you first got on top of the ceiling.
3) You'll get what I got in the vid, only Scrooge is invicible.
4) You'll get what I got in the vid.
I decided that whenever I got the 3rd way, I restrated, because I didn't like him being invis. (It makes the speedrun less fun I think).
Well if that succeeded just go down pogo the red alien, make sure you move a bit to the right first in order to get the whole in the ground.
You can see in the vid how to get to the hole (there are other ways, but I prefered this one).
Make sure you're as much to the left as possible when falling down.
Then pogo the red alien and move to the right as much as you can.
If done correctly you'll get on top of the ceiling there and just keep jumping and going to the left.
If you do not jump (pogo the red alien) correctly you either die or will just fall down.
After a few jumps you should be able to glitch your way into the screen just before the Moon Rat.
The rest would be obvious I think. You can just keep pogo up and down at the boos, you don't need to do anything fancy.
Well that was about it I think.
Maybe I'll add more info if I think of anything.
Hope you'll enjoy the vid.
NOTE: The run that I submitted (and got accpeted) on SDA (Speed Demos Archive) is a PAL version. There are some small differences between this one (NTSC) and the PAL. The main difference is that the PAL version is a tad bit slower overall, so that's why this run is 'faster' then my submitted PAL run.
Altough I do think I make less mistakes in the PAL run. =x
I have never heard of a glitch that could possibly ruin a system/game. Strange.

Well it's to be honest it's probably bs, but I thought I'd just put in in because it makes some weird ass sounds if it goes wrong and who knows :P
I don't want anyone coming here complaining that something went wrong and then blaming me :P

Is it just me or does this game seem like it ripped some stuff from other games, like Mega Man? Even the victory fanfare sounds like it was ripped from said games.

It is made by the same company. ;)
So I don't know if you can call it ripped.
But it has definitely some mega man influences in it as you said.

Nice Glich! Otherwise well executed. Wish you would find a way to post at SDA ;)
