Hi I'm Stuart Porter. I eat mainly low fat raw vegan food. Take a look at the food I packed when I went away overnight. Have a look at the food I keep in my kitchen and fridge. Eat More Raw for increased energy and better health!

  • Dude you're INSANE but cool. How much stuff gets wasted?

  • @Sharazapam

I waste very little food, usually none at all.

This insane diet pulled me out of chronic fatigue, IBS & depression! I now also eat cooked low fat whole food, mainly due to the ridiculous price of fruit.

When I start adding back what most other people eat (fat spices refined/processed food etc) then foggy head and fatigue start creeping back in.

I have a choice, be 'extreme/insane and fit & healthy or, one of the crowd and sick and depressed!

It beats doctors & popping pills!

  • there is a problem...all this stuff is mostly sugary...

  • @troecurov

I feel great when I stick to eating this way. Yes, there is 'sugar' in the food. My body can readily absorb it without having to expend too much energy to break it down before being able to use the calories. There is plenty of fibre, so it is not at all like eating neat sugar. There are also plenty of nutrients with every mouthful.

No matter what you eat your body has to convert it to 'sugar' in order to use it. It's much much easier on the body eating a high fruit low fat diet.

Caldwell Esselstyn, who I mention in my previous comment, basically recommends; no added fat, no overt fat, no animal foods and eating only whole plant based food such as those you described. I have his book 'Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease'. It could just as well be called 'Prevent and reverse most chronic health conditions'. Check him out. I think you'll find that approach helpful.

I'm very interested in hearing how you get on.

    Stuart :-)

I'm not a doctor, but this is what I understand.

No diet is a 'cure' for type 1 diabetes, but I've heard that sometimes insulin may be reduced when improving what we eat.

Any fat foods eaten in the previous few days can cause blood sugar spikes once you start eating easy to digest carb's. The fat reduces the effectiveness of insulin.

I suspect that something like the Caldwell Esselstyn diet (without fruit) may be better for you initially, then after a few wks try fruit.

  • man im so jelouse of all the amazing fruit and veg in your kitchen!! i have tried going Low Fat Raw Vgan a few times.. and i know how amazing it makes you feel.. but its soooooo expensive and time consuming, its hard to keep up.. well done you - keep flying with energy!!

You can be a vegan and eat chocolate bars, french fries and even be an alcoholic or high as a kite on caffeine. I do this super healthy diet purely for health reasons, because I was very burned out with fatigue and other health issues. I'm not 100% vegan, but I'm but not far off it. It's a result of my search for health and subsequent personal experiments took me down this path.

  • I have been watching a lot of vegan fridge videos today and yours is the only one that is actually healthy. None of that processed crap. Love it!

  • You've encouraged me to try it out. Thanks!
