Union Pacific # 3985 In a Fresh New Paint Job at about 10 am in Nebraska on a run to Minnesota the first multi-day trip since undergoing some repairs that had her down 3 years since the July 2005 CFD trip. Ride along side as she restarts from the 2nd stop of the morning as the worlds largest operating steam locomotive picks up steam and heads east to Minnesota.

I've been inside one of these beauty's cab and it is amazing to imagine what it was like when they were still in regular use. To sit in the engineer's seat is so thrilling you can almost hear the whistle as she geos through a crossing.

we have to realize something were pretty much watching the big boy, except it's just missing 4 wheels.
