If you want to be good at working with databases, strong knowledge of TSQL is a must. In this important video, we start off with AdventureWorks2008. We start with SELECT statement which is used to return data. We move to the INSERT statement using the Person table in the database. The next two statements are UPDATE and DELETE which are very powerful. Using a where clause is extremely important here. We show you how to change data in Person table.

  • How do you turn on intellisense? How do you turn on transactional sql? thank you.

  • @ddsharper For Intellisense, you need SQL server 2008. Not sure about the second question. You can run transact sql in any version.

  • Are you trying to upgrade 2005 express to 2008 express? I believe you can use the Upgrade Advisor to do this.
