There are plenty of reasons to disarm citizens. If there is no weapon supply, there will be no revolt or uprising by the American people. Things need to be set up before any government would go to take absolute control. I'm not saying it will happen, but the theory is plausible.

They aren't trying to take your guns away. Congress was just 6 votes shy of passing a law that would require background checks which the American public was 90% in favor of. There is no way they are going to pass any law banning guns. Weapon sales went through the roof after Sandy Hook. The NRA is way more powerful of a lobbying presence than any number of victims of violence. If this was a conspiracy it wasn't to disarm the American people..only to have us live in fear more than we already do.
