  • @dale2605 going back 1000 years this was a proper tidal river, the vikings used to travel up it in 100ft longships to dubh linn, where they would berth, this river flows under the streets of dublin, hidden and forgotten in time, building over 1000 years has made it smaller and more stream like, it was used as an open sewer until the normans in the 12th-cent filled it over and built dublin on top
