It was a treat for me to get to stay up on Saturday nights as a boy to watch Creature Features, until I realized how scary those old horror flicks were. It would get to where I'd leave one of my eyes open -- the one in view of my parents -- but clamp the other one shut, as if that would lessen the fright.
Great memories. Thanks for posting.

@PeerlessPaavo And here, I thought I was the only who did that as a kid during Creature Feature! *whew*

The theme was from "Experiment in Terror" which starred Glenn Ford, Lee Remick, Ross Martin, Stephanie Powers, San Francisco and Candlestick Park.
The closeup shot of Bela Lugosi as Dracula - was he laughing, crying or both?
One of my brothers used to joke that the image on the title card was Tony Esposito throwing up his gloved hand to snare a slapshot. During hockey season, WGN-TV mostly had the Blackhawks vs. the Bluesers or North Stars. The latter meant a whole lot of Buster Harvey!

Not bad but the orig. video was 30 seconds long and the opening starts with the sun going down and wolf howling and coffin opening slowing, etc, etc, etc.

where is EVIL BRAIN FROM OUTER SPACE where they show a segment of the movie, then it goes into the 'slide' before it goes into commercial?

Awesome! Thanks.

They really picked some awesome artistic angles in the opening. Awesome!

@fgreen67 - Those were added live, or from a separate audio cart. This was just a master quad reel of the opening scenes and music - not a complete off-air example of a Creature Features opening, unfortunately. But at least it is authentic.
