Having posted that, I want to add that in my fist year, I worked for 6% commission, and did every task needed, including cleaning, landscaping (setting step stones, hauling lake weed off the beach, planting grass seed, etc.). I enjoy being at the lake, so I will run down to help owners and renters when they call. I am available most of the time (not 9-5PM), and go out of my way to help out...like Superwoman!

Hey Superman, Thanks for posting your good question. The standard 15% rate refers to handling the rental only for any managment team. This might include many communications both by email and in person, and any adjustments needed to help the renter feel like a guest. The services I plan to offer are in two main areas: cleaning and maintenance/repair. These are not covered by any agency that I know of, but certainly are nice to have available as needed.

good general idea but the fact that there can be additional costs after the 15% is... not to offend a but greedy since the average rate for services of that nature are about 7.5-10 then additionals . so i believe that you would have hesitant customers but may be i'm wrong
