@Kari166 You are completely right about Mimi. She is actually a really nice/good person just misguided if you remember she is only 19 and there is no mention of family, she is just trying to make a life and money for herself. She probably take's drugs to manage her job as it's very demanding. So you are completely right on your analysis of her character. Or in my opinion at least.

@Kari166 Ofc Ur not wrong, I've seen the Film like 15 times now ( I just LOVE it xD) And when U pay more attention to Mimi U'll see she doesn't enjoy her life a tiny bit. She's an addict and she does the dancing bcus she's desperately in need of money :P So.. Just a 100% sweet :) Also after she breaks up with Roger and has a relationship with.. with.. o gawd O.o I can't come up with his name.. ..Ben! I believe xD She's really depressed and still in love with Roger. Hope this is usefull ;)

It annoys me whenever I bring up how there are two sides to Mimi. The stripper "hardcore" side, and her sweet side.
And people just blow off the latter. "OMGG NU MIMI IZ AH BADASS STRIPPAH SHES NOT SWEET!!!!11!"
Yes, she's a drug addicted, S&M stripper, but there's more to her personality than that. Am I right? For example, she tried to help Roger get past his grief over April, and she comforted Angel when he was in the hospital, among other things.
Or am I completely wrong?
