  • I will be running timing myself again today and hopefully I will continue to improve. I have been taking beta alanine and it does help with my weight training, sprints and it seems todelay my muscles from getting tired on my 1.5m. I have been hill training and doing more sprints in addition to my regular running program and that has been most beneficial for improving my time. I ran right after I made the last post and improved by 1min and 33sec in a week! Going to try again tonight! Thanks!

  • Would beta alanine help if I need to take 4-5 minutes off my 1.5 mile run? I have a fitness test in a month and I have been in the gym every day alternating weights and cardio and need an extra boost for the run in particular.

  • @marylynn1989 4-5 minutes is a lot of time to shave off a 1.5 mile run and we can't think of any supplement (or drug that would do that). Now obviously it depends on where you are starting from, if it take you 20 min then you could shave that much time off with hard work, a good diet, and supplements. Now it can give you an extra boost, but we don't want to give you a false hope that it alone can do that. Hope this helps.

  • How far apart should dosages be, particularly on workout days? Many labels advise one serving pre and post-workout, but that may only be about an hour apart. Would that be too close together, or is it advantageous since you just put in the work?

  • @muntster you don't need to take it pre and post workout, rather you want to shoot for for ~0.4-0.5g per kg of body weight (for most people that's 3-5g/day and is ideally split into 3 servings per day but if thats not possible twice daily at least 8 hours apart will work). Hope this helps.

  • you guys should do make or break ingredients in a pre workout

  • I'd like to supplement this with creatine monohydrate. Could you provide a dosage schedule for a 177 pound man? I will love you forever.

  • @prx97 do some research before you give advice if your not knowledgable on a subject. Please post the scientific study that showed creatine damages the liver??

  • @CopperVibez Creatine puts alot of kidney strain. I only would only recommend u take creatine if your lifting really heavy and drinking heaps of water.

  • can someone help me if it help im 15? today I bought beta alanine, musashi growling dog creatine which is in crystal form and massive 70:30 (5kg) and im not really sure how to use the creatine and beta alanine the only thing iv used before is protein powder, can i mix them all together?

  • @master9716 Your Carnosine levels are going to build up gradually over 5 - 10 days as you take the product, similarly to how creatine works.

I can't see any benefits of taking it pre or post workout specifically, just split it up into 2 - 3 servings a day with regular intervals so as to keep your levels rising stably (or just to keep levels even) throughout the day - I.E take one serving in the morning, and one 12 hours later or before you go to sleep.

  • I run 800 m for great britain, I've seen bicarbonate of soda being used for this event but would alanine help also? thanks in advance

  • Hey guys, I was wondering for supplements such as glutamine what is the difference between taking the capsule form or the powder form? Is there any benefit in taking powder over capsules? Thanks for the help :)
