I think it is the style of RIcky's comedy that makes actors laugh like this. As Ricky said, it's the long awkward silences and on top of that, the actors know what's coming. I don't know how I'd hold it together if I'm on my knees behind a desk knowing Ricky Gervais is going to awkwardly ask me if I'm masturbating.

I think Smerch reveals just how annoyed he really got when he was watching Ricky in the Office just by how many phrases he uses : "I used to watch Ricky crack up with other actors...it was like they were having a laugh, they were indulging themselves, they were being children!"

@SRagy Reminds me from Drama in grade 9. The teacher got really pissed about someone throwing a sandwich, so he's all "That's why it's unacceptable for someone to throw food IN MY CLASS!!!!!!" and he's shaking with anger. So, later, during a math test, I remembered it, and started laughing my ass off, and everyone is like WTF.
