I know the captain orders him to be trussed up for the " CAT" but we dont see him being flogged, is there a clip of the flogging scenes. Also must try and find that book with the 100 best flogging scenes, sounds really interesting.

We must suspend disbelief over such details as the full make-up of the damsel in distress, but it's worth it for Robert Newton's delivery of such lines as the one describing the flogging and salting of the victim. "...and when 'e comes to ... give 'im it again!!!" Suberb, non-violent action, when compared with today's bloodbaths.

The notable thing about this "Blackbeard" is the flogging scene featuring the broad, bare back of Keith Andes. (He of the Silver Dollar Nipples.) This scene ranks 47th in the book, "Lash! The 100 Great Scenes of Men Being Whipped in the Movies."
