Just a flight on a beautiful evening. I could have edited some stuff out, but the whole flight had a nice flow to it and it was very pleasant with the birds chirping. What a great airplane! I'm just getting the hang of this one, this was the first flight of the day. This is the stock Extra 300 SHP with the Torque 2818T-900 motor swinging a 13x6.5 APC E prop

  • I love this plane. Mine crashed nose first into the ground while flying in the wind, inverted. I hit a down-draft about 7 ft off the ground, and afterwards, I found the elevator servo (hs65mg) stripped. Not sure if the crash caused it, or the servo stripped and contributed to the crash.

  • @albsurfer5 It's a tough plane, I just repaired mine after a nose-in.

  • how did you get the 2 video sync'd so well? also, how in the world did you get the camera fastened the that plane flying so fast?

i love kdenlive and am trying to do something similar with 2 different angles of the same action and i was wondering how i'd get em sync

  • @dansnewaddress the videos synced up without effort - kdenlive worked it out even though both videos have different frame rates! I just had to slide the one video left and right on the timeline until events were happening at the same time on both tracks.

I recall that I just taped the camera on for this flight.

  • Very well done. I really enjoyed seeing the PIP. Great job with the sync. What site did you get the plane from?

  • @ssrc30 Thanks for your comments! I bought it used from a friend (sucker!). I believe he got it from the 3D Hobby Shop site.

  • @vonJaerschky It's surprising about the sync since the frame rates were different - I wasn't sure the software would be able to sort it out. Turned out okay!

  • Nice! The two cameras are synched together pretty well. I like the shot of Mia over the wing tip at the end.

  • Very relaxing!
