  • You have very interesting videos, thanks for sharing with us, it is a wonderfull language :D

  • @ErnestRama thank you :) may the canaanite gods bless you!

  • How do you know what it sounds like?

  • @LBNANY here are books which helped me to recognize the correct vowels:

-Phoenician-Punic grammar krahmalkov -a grammar of phoenician Stanislav Segert

-dictionary of north west semitic inscriptions of Jongeling

    -Phönizisch-Punische Grammatik von J. Friedrich

-Handbook of neo punic isncriptions Jongeling

    -late punic epigraphy Jongeling

-ancient langauges ofsyria palestine and arabia

    (my lebanese dialect)

-punic inscriptions which are written in latin letters phoenician words in akkadian script

  • great video, except for the fact that arabic is DERIVED from canaanite, not the other way around.

  • @montezoma I forgot to say that the modern arabicdialects are also based on quranarabic, the ancient arabic dialects all died out.Proto north west semitic was close to the ancient north arabic in grammar and pronounciation but developed much earlier and was'nt dierect related to arabic.Arabic developed seperately from its own proto language,ok we could go further back then we are by proto semitic which is the base for all semitic languages, north west semitic ermerged earlier than central semitic.
