  • hey, when did this phase out and when exactly was the peacock introduced?

  • This NBC logo brang us that really extremely creepy NBC News ident.

  • The snake isn't quite as good as the peacock (I'm sure there's a dirty joke in there), but this, this is a fantabulous logo, very good.

  • Does anyone know how to recreate this in After Effects? What preset or plugin makes text draw out like this?

  • Didn't this logo slip up on a WGN America rerun of "I Dream of Jeannie?"

  • This was taken from the "Wonderful World of Color" which was a Disney show when it was Sunday nights back in the 60's. It was on the same network. "videos4everybody" has uploaded the end credits to the "Wonderful World of Color" which was from one of these laserdisc releases as part of MCA Discovision. There was no NBC Snake at the end, just the copyright notice afterwards.

  • @LJK193: On original broadcasts, this followed the Desilu and Paramount logos at the end of Star Trek.

  • This appeared at the end of virtually every NBC program from 1965 through 1970. There were variations of it as well: if a show was produced "in-house", it would say, "Produced by the NBC-TV Network" or "Presented by the NBC-TV Network". In most cases, if the show came from a production source outside the network- and they had part-ownership or production funding involved- this credit would appear.

  • This used to be Star Trek. I can't believe they plastered over this with the Paramount logo.
