  • I'm Orthodox. I think this is sweet and full of simcha, but why are they playing instruments and using recording equipment on Shabbos? I find simcha in keeping the mitzvos. Good intentions, but seem to be putting the layv before the moch.

  • this is weird

i think this is just a place for miss fits

any one normal is orthodox or ultra orthdox

  • secondly i don't like how orthodox say that woman belong to a man, no women or woman belongs to anyone but herself, you hear this ladies, young girls and women who are jewish, that's right, i was at a friends wedding and wished that men and woman got to sit together, such as couples and or married couples and individuals it was just a wedding i am sure her dances could be separated for her religious belief, but at least sitting together should have been undvided among women and men

  • amazing cantor as i have worked with her and both her and the rabbi are doing my wedding as well as guest at my wedding, it is a pleasure to say they are amazing and no one should ever judge that this was recorded or tapped on shabbos as one is free to do as they please on shabbos, if you orthodox and its your belief that's fine, but those that are liberal and or conservative wish that you don't make comments about them on why they shouldn't or can't, be respectful as they are to you too, thanks

  • @jerrbot9000 i am a conservative jewish gal and i respect anyone who is reform or orthodox, i do how ever follow shabbos and belong to both a conservative and reform synagogue and go to a chabad house for services or festive holidays and or meals, doesn't mean i am orthodox, it should liberating and free to do as one please and not follow what the book says, sure there are laws, but if one plays music on shabbos there is not going to be a physical punishment for it, so therefore its ok

  • @avirei167 sorry to say this but if you have not experienced a way of being a liberal jewish gal or guy and being able to do what you want, then you are confindanted to what i say as orthodox with out an open opinion towards those jewish who are not religious, i am not religious and i understand and open minded towards all types of jewish in race religion and wheither one is orthodox jewish or conservative or reform, please keep an open mind, just as you don't do this others do, thanks

  • @jerrbot9000 I think it's a liberal shul, they can play instruments on shabbos and hear women sing.

  • Love this !!!!!!

  • shalom

  • @sabradan Ah, I see. It's Minhag, not Halacha. Good to know, I'm a Music Teacher. Thanks sabradan!

  • @avirei167 You'se trollin'. And if you're not, then you're retarded. Hilul Hashem, first of all. Second of all, I lost all faith with those who call themselves religiously 'observant'. Maybe I'm OTD, but I've realised a lot about Judaism, human nature, organised relgiion, etc. I'm finally in a place where I can allow myself to be spiritual and participate in tefilot again, but in anything but a Liberal minyan/Renewal/'Progressive (think Carlebacher minyan, but not as strict) I cannot do.

  • @jerrbot9000 Instruments are not against halacha. Its not considered 'work' halachically. If anything, the 'ban' on instruments is a cultural thing than anything else.
