70's Mickey Mouse Club EP2 (1977) P1

Tuesday, it's "Let's Go Day" with the Mouseketeers. "Self Control " the all-color Mousekartoon starring Donald Duck in a most difficult role -- calm, cool and collected. "It's a Small World" sing the Mouseketeers in a special Mouseketeer Showcase production number taped at Disneyland. The Mousekamovie Special is a film collage from Disney's animated classic film, "Fantasia." Mouseketeers are featured as clowns and teddy bears in a special Talent Showcase "Merry Go-Round."

Oh wow. Does this bring back memories. I was 8 years old when the NMMC debuted in 1977. The problem was that the local tv station aired it on the weekdays around 2pm in the afternoon and school didnt let out until 3pm. So the only way I could see an episode here and there was if I was sick, on vacation, or cut out of school early. I think the ratings would have improved if they only aired it at a better time when we kids could see it. And I had the maddest crush on Kelly!!! (who didnt?)

*big huge smile*!!! I LOVED this Mickey Mouse Club when I was a little girl (I was 10 years old in '77). I was even a part of their fan club and received an autographed picture of them. Watching this show inspired me to take dance lessons--jazz, ballet, and tap. As an adult, I performed in several community and professional musical productions and have never forgotten about my humble inspirational beginnings. Thank you for posting this! Now I get to share these with my child!

This brings back ALOT of memories. I was 6 years old in '77. I can't remember wich channel it came on here in Shreveport, I remember watching every afternoon. I had such a crush on Lisa, Alison & we can't forget Kelly :) Disney IF you're watching this, PLEASE put this on DVD :)

i seem to remember the show premire in late 76, cause our station XETV was an independant at the time and ran thru 77, with the original MMC
