This video segment of my first vacation in 8.1 years involves something I don't see often - 3 levels of clouds, including stratus clouds barely 400 feet above the ground. There's also cirrus clouds (seen in the second part, where I point the camera up). Altocumulus clouds are not easily seen, but the cirrus clouds are. This was recorded shortly after leaving. There is no sound in this video for one reason - it's all wind.

  • were you under a tornado warning?

  • No. Tornadoes in my area are actually fairly rare, especially in late September. Severe weather season is typically from about mid June to early September - the bulk of the severe storm warnings and stuff, the kind that spawn tornadoes, is in this realm.

  • Interesting filter on the camera - do you use it on all of your shots?

  • I don't have any filters on my camera. Rather, it's a software glitch. The problem isn't present in the stills, but it is in the videos, even under pretty much the same conditions. If it helps, I have the GE A730.

  • As a person who lives in a hilly area, this is a great video for getting a little taste of what your area of the United States is like.

  • My area is dull - there's very little landscape variation, hardly any trees, and has nothing scenic.
