In this video, I had my own wood milled out of a red oak tree that came from my land. I had it milled by a good friend of mine. I used a wood moisture meter to determine if the wood was dry enough for finishing my project. Since I heat with wood, I used a combination of my wood stove and a box fan to kiln dry my wood for about a month before it was dry enough to use.
